German developer Sowitec agrees local government deal

Through its Russian subsidiary Azov VES, Sowitec was awarded a plot of land by the governor of the Rostov region without a tender procedure, thanks to a regional law supporting large-scale investment projects. Sowitec is to invest RUB 9.9 billion (€164 million) in the project. The developer is planning to enter the project into the annual federal tender for renewable projects in June, to supply power in the wholesale market for 15 years. The project is planned to be completed in 2020.
