Minnesota Public Utilities Commission has granted a two-year extension to a site permit for the 300MW Pleasant Valley wind project proposed by RES Group in Mower county and Dodge counties.
The project got the permit in October 2010, but transmission-related delays have kept it from executing a PPA deal over the past two years and therefore have resulted in construction not being started.
In Oct 2012, RES said the project was shovel-ready but on hold due to potential power buyer's hesitation caused by PTC uncertainty. In Jan 2013, with PTC extension, RES was positive the project could move forward. The Minnesota PUC grant further revives this project.
