The Scottish government has overturned Dumfries and Galloway Council's decision to approve Gamesa's 18-turbine wind farm at Carscreugh Fell, near Glenluce.
The Carscreugh wind farm application was refused by the Councillors last year pointing out the plans' negative impact on landscape and archaeology.
The developer had appealed against the decision and the Scottish government has now overturned the decision and approved the proposals with certain conditions.
