The port will handle the 11 suction bucket jacket foundations

Peterhead Port Authority is to support the start of offshore construction work for the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC), having agreed to handle the 92.4MW project’s suction bucket jacket foundations. The contract was awarded by Boskalis. The port will host one of the world’s largest floating cranes, up to six barges that will transport the 11 foundations and two support vessels. A project site office will be established at the harbour for the installation operations which are due to start later this year. Vattenfall is developing the EOWDC off Aberdeen Bay, north-east Scotland.
